Billing & Payment

Do We Accept Insurance?

At Better Together Acupuncture & Wellness, we’ve chosen not to accept insurance for several important reasons, all of which are rooted in our commitment to providing the best care possible for you and maintaining a sustainable practice.

The Main Reasons Are:

  • Personalized Care: Without insurance restrictions, we can fully tailor treatments to your specific needs, focusing on what’s best for you rather than what’s covered by your policy.
  • More Time for You: We’re able to spend more time with each patient, ensuring a thorough and thoughtful approach to your wellness journey, without the pressure of adhering to insurance-mandated time constraints.
  • Transparent Pricing: Our pricing is straightforward and upfront, with no hidden fees or unexpected costs often associated with insurance billing.
  • Efficient Operations: By not dealing with the administrative burden of insurance billing, we can streamline our operations, allowing us to focus more on providing quality care and less on paperwork. This efficiency helps keep our costs lower, which can translate into more competitive pricing for you.

The Impact of Insurance Delays

One of the significant challenges with accepting insurance is the often-lengthy delays in receiving payments from insurance companies. These delays can create cash flow issues, making it difficult for us to cover the costs of running the practice, from purchasing supplies to paying our staff. When payments are delayed, it directly impacts our ability to provide consistent, high-quality care and to sustain our business operations.

Additionally, as a small business, timely payments are essential for us to meet our own financial obligations and support our families. The uncertainty and inconsistency of insurance reimbursements can strain our resources, potentially limiting the services we can offer and the time we can dedicate to each patient.

By choosing not to accept insurance, we can maintain a stable and sustainable practice, ensuring that we’re here to serve you long-term, without compromising the quality of care you receive.

We accept cash, check, credit cards, Venmo, CashApp, HSA, HFA and PayPal Credit.

Please note that there is a $100 fee for all returned checks.

No—We believe in transparency, so we’ve made every effort to provide clear and upfront pricing. Additionally, we don’t pass credit card fees on to you; we cover those costs ourselves, ensuring that our word is our promise to you.

We appreciate at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. We value your time and hope that you value ours as well. We understand that unexpected situations can arise, so we do our best to work with you if something comes up within the 24-hour window. However, if we don’t hear from you, we reserve the right to charge a $50 cancellation fee, which will be added to your account and due at the time of your next visit.

Absolutely! We are happy to provide you a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company. All reports are completed by the end of the day, at which time we will email or post to the mail on the same day.

We can provide you with a receipt the same day as service.

For our memberships, we offer a convenient monthly payment option, set up just like a subscription service, allowing you to spread the cost evenly across the duration of your membership. While we do not offer in-house financing for packages, we do work with PayPal Credit, which provides flexible payment options. Additionally, we accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards for your convenience. Please note that there is a $100 fee for all returned checks.

Yes, absolutely. If it has the Visa or Mastercard emblem you are good to go!

Yes! We’ve built this savings into our packages, so you automatically receive a discount when you choose to pay for multiple sessions upfront.

If you believe there has been a charge or billing error, please contact us as soon as possible. We take these matters seriously and will work with you to review your account and resolve any discrepancies. To help us investigate thoroughly, please provide any relevant details or documentation. While we typically resolve issues much sooner, please allow 15–30 days for a full investigation. Our goal is to ensure all billing is accurate and fair, and we appreciate your cooperation in addressing any concerns.
