Acupuncture

Your body has been trying to tell you something. Acupuncture helps you listen.

From chronic pain, metabolic and hormonal imbalances to fertility and sleep, acupuncture works at the root level, addressing the patterns beneath the symptoms so real, lasting change becomes possible.

Why Choose Us for Acupuncture?

Most patients arrive having already tried everything else. They've done the prescriptions, the specialists, the referrals. They still don't feel right and They're ready for something different.

Dr. Sara holds a Master's and Doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine alongside a Master's in Clinical Nutrition — a combination that's rare, and that changes what's possible in a single visit. Your treatment plan and your nutrition plan work together, not in parallel.

Chronic pain. Hormonal shifts. Fertility. Exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix. Skin. Stress. These are the conversations that happen here, and they don't get just 10 minutes.

If you don't see your condition listed, ask. The list of what acupuncture addresses is longer than most people expect.

The Power of Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been practiced for over 5,000 years, not because it's trendy, but because it works. Here's what patients at Better Together commonly experience:
Better Sleep
Regulates the nervous system so your body can actually rest and not just lie there counting sheep.
Boosted Immunity
Strengthens your body's defenses by improving circulation and reducing chronic stress load.
Mental Clarity
Clears the fog. Patients often describe feeling lighter, more clear minded and more focused after sessions.
Hormone Balance
Addresses PMS, perimenopause, menopause and irregular cycles by targeting the underlying patterns and not masking them.
Pain Relief
Reduces inflammation and interrupts pain signals at the source without the side effects.
Stress Reduction
Shifts your nervous system out of fight or flight and into genuine recovery mode.
Enhanced Fertility
Improves blood flow, supports egg quality, balances hormones, and reduces the stress that quietly disrupts reproductive health.
Improved Digestion
Regulates gut motility and reduces inflammation because everything begins in the gut.

Acupuncture Pricing

Individual Pricing

Initial Consultation & Treatment
$195/ 90 minutes

Your first visit is a treatment and a full conversation. A complete health history is taken: your symptoms, stress, sleep, hormones, diet, and lifestyle before a single needle is placed.

All 90 minutes are yours. You leave with a clear picture of what's going on and a plan built around your actual life.

Follow-Up Treatments
$135/ 1 hour

Each follow-up builds on the last. We track what shifted, what opened up, and where the body wants to go next adjusting the plan as you progress.

This is where the real momentum builds. Most patients begin to notice meaningful change within 3–5 sessions.
When a customized herbal formula or in-house supplement is recommended during your visit, the consultation is already included. You pay only for the formula itself. Herbal support and acupuncture work beautifully together, and the conversation about it happens right there in your appointment.

Additional / Add On Treatments
These therapies are wonderful on their own and even more powerful when layered into an acupuncture session.

Moxibustion, Fire Cupping, and Ear Seeds are available as in-session add-ons (15–30 minutes, $40–55) or as standalone appointments at the rates listed below.

Moxabustion

$150 standalone · $40–55 as add-on

Moxa brings gentle, penetrating warmth to specific acupuncture points using dried mugwort. It is deeply relaxing and particularly effective for conditions that respond to heat. These include digestive issues, fatigue, immune support, cold limbs, and reproductive health.

Dr. Sara holds an advanced certification in Koshiishii-style moxibustion, a specialized approach available at very few practices.

Fire Cupping

$150 standalone · $40–55 as add-on

Cupping uses gentle suction to lift congested tissue, improve circulation, release deep muscle tension, and move lymphatic fluid that conventional massage often can't reach.

Any marks that appear are where the suction has drawn blood to the surface. That's the body's cue to send in its own healing response. But don't worry, the marks are temporary and typically fade within a few days.

Earseeds

$75 · 30 minutes

Tiny pellets placed on specific ear points that correspond to areas throughout the body are rooted in auricular acupuncture, and worn for days at a time. They stay put between appointments, providing gentle, continuous support right where it's needed.

Patients reach for them for stress, sleep, cravings, pain, and hormonal balance. The 24k gold-plated seeds with colored crystals are discreet enough for everyday wear and beautiful enough to show off.
For our 1 hour services, there is an additional charge of $25 per extra half-hour (0-30 minute increments).

Acupuncture FAQs

When it comes to acupuncture needles, there’s nothing to fear. They are incredibly thin, and most patients barely feel them being inserted. What you will feel are the positive effects they bring. During an acupuncture treatment, you’ll be asked to lie face up or down on an acupuncture table, depending on the treatment protocol. This is because meridian pathways flow both on the front and back of your body.

Dr. Sara will begin by discussing what brought you into the clinic and what you hope to achieve with treatment. For established patients, she’ll check in on how things have been going, discuss any new developments, and explore what you’d like to focus on during today’s session. She will then examine your pulse and examine your tongue to determine the best course of treatment based on your current health concerns. This in-depth exploration of your health provides valuable insights into your overall well-being, including your emotions, personality, and the state of your internal organs.

Once she has made an initial diagnosis, Dr. Sara will propose a personalized treatment plan, discuss the expected outcomes, and explain how we can work together to help you feel better. Treatment will begin at the end of this consultation, incorporating the best techniques to address your specific needs.

You’ll want to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. We also provide gowns and shorts.

No. Some people experience a heaviness at the acupuncture site; however it is not painful.

Absolutely no. Needles are single use and are disposed of after use. If a needle falls out, we dispose of it and insert a new one.

Side effects of acupuncture treatment can include drowsiness afterward. In rare cases, a phenomenon known as needle shock may occur. Needle shock is a vasovagal response that can cause feelings of faintness, clammy hands, chilliness, and slight nausea. Although this is uncommon, if it does happen, the needles are immediately removed, and the patient is given a healthy snack and monitored. In most cases, the patient feels better almost immediately. For this reason, we strongly suggest that you eat something prior to your visit. In the case you do not, we have snacks on hand!

Acupuncture typically requires several treatment sessions. Many people experience relief after the initial session and return for additional treatments to continue improving and for ongoing maintenance. We recommend at least 6 sessions, though sometimes more may be needed depending on your specific circumstances. Our recommendations are always tailored to provide the best outcomes for you.
